GLASGOW — Nominations continue for WCLU Radio’s Best of Barren recognition, which seeks to recognize the best businesses in Barren County.
The contest features two phases, including nominations and voting. Nominations are used to narrow the pool of businesses for the voting phase. Nominations close April 30.
“Support for our area businesses is the cornerstone of commerce in Barren County, and with the Best of Barren contest we are giving the community the opportunity to show their support for their favorites,” said Forever Communications General Manager Jon Ingram.
Categories for nominations vary from the best eateries, professional services, shopping and health and beauty. The contest has been tailored since its initial launch on April 1 to better represent businesses across the area.
Community members are urged to nominate online each day to better represent their preferred businesses. Those with the most nominations will be selected to appear in the voting phase. Those businesses will then be narrowed to an eventual winner.

The voting phase begins May 8 and ends May 31.
