GLASGOW — Police responded to a report of a burglary in progress Tuesday along Cleveland Avenue.

Authorities saw a male subject leaving a back door, according to a news release. The door has visible damage.

The man was later identified as Henry G. Hutchinson, 32, of Louisville. He was wearing a face mask and gloves, police said. He did not comply with officers’ commands and fled a short distance.

Hutchinson was apprehended and searched. Authorities located methamphetamine and several items that were stolen from the building he allegedly burglarized.

He was arrested and charged with third degree burglary, third degree criminal mischief, fleeing or evading police and a handful of other charges. Hutchinson was lodged at the Barren County Jail.

Hutchinson is expected to appear in local court on April 14 at 12:30 p.m. It’s unclear if he has an attorney.
