GLASGOW – An employee at a Subway in Glasgow was allegedly hit over the head before he was robbed Sunday.
Glasgow Police responded to the restaurant on the Square in reference to a robbery. The employee said he was robbed while taking trash to a dumpster. A man allegedly took money from his pockets.
Police said the suspect, identified as Jason W. Wheat, was discovered along Columbia Avenue. He fled from police a short distance before he was taken into custody, according to a news release.
Mr. Wheat, 40, of Morgantown, was arrested and charged with first degree robbery, second degree disorderly conduct and several probation violations.
