Harlin Ray Oliver, 84, of Hestand, KY passed away Saturday, March 12, at his home surrounded by his family.Ray was born in Monroe County, KY on October 14, 1937, a son of the late Earlie and Annie Pearl (Payne) Oliver.
From 1958-1973, Ray worked as a delivery driver for Pepsi Cola Company in Tompkinsville, KY. In 1975, he started working at Tri-County Electric as a Custodian. Ray was employed with Tri-County until his retirement in January of 2021.
On June 28, 1963, he married Nelda Spear in Celina, TN.
Ray is survived by his wife, Nelda Oliver, of Hestand, KY; daughter and son-in-law, Joni and Wes Turner, of Tompkinsville, KY; and two grandsons, Garrett and Grayson Turner.Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Velva Pennington and a brother, Wendell Oliver.
Funeral services will be held at Yokley Trible Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at 2:00 PM. Burial to follow at Monroe County Memorial Lawn.
Visitation is Monday, 4-8 PM, and Tuesday morning after 8:00 AM until service time at 2:00 PM at Yokley Trible Funeral Home.In lieu of flowers, donations in Ray’s memory may be made to the Kidney Foundation.
