Hicks recognized for impaired driving arrests, citations

GLASGOW — Wesley Hicks, a sergeant with the Glasgow Police Department, was recognized for his work in the community.

Hicks was honored with the Governor’s Awards for the 2021 Impaired Driving Enforcement and 2021 Occupant Protection Enforcement.

“We want to recognize Sgt. Wesley Hicks for his dedication to keeping the community safe by identifying and stopping unsafe drivers,” according to a news release from Glasgow Police.

Hicks made 31 impaired driving arrests and cited 129 seat belt violations from Oct. 1, 2020, to Sept. 30, 2021.
