NASHVILLE, Tenn. — A missing Bowling Green has been found safe, according to authorities and his family.

Gable Volkert was reported missing after he disappeared in downtown Nashville Saturday. He was last seen around 12:30 p.m. at a cheerleading competition at Municipal Auditorium along James Robertson Parkway.

Volkert’s family confirms he was discovered at the Renaissance Hotel in downtown Nashville. He is safe.

“They say he was very disoriented,” said Nick Beres, a journalist who had spoken with the Volkerts. “And appeared to have been beaten.”

Gable said he slept outside Saturday and tried to check in to a hotel, which alerted authorities when he tried to use his credit card.

He’s expected to receive medical treatment. No further information was provided, and it’s unclear why he appears beaten.
