GLASGOW, Ky. – On Monday, Green Mechanical Construction announced plans for expansion of its multi-state services to better serve customers.

Green Mechanical Construction, Inc., a leading mechanical construction firm based in Glasgow, will open an addition office in the Charlotte, North Carolina Metro area next month and will expand its service footprint into Florida.

“Green Mechanical is excited to enter into a new era for our company with the opening of our North Carolina office. In 38 years of business, this is the first GMCI office to open outside the borders of Kentucky,” President and CEO Wes Simpson said. “This is well-known territory for us as our company has been building quality projects in the South Atlantic region for years. We have had the honor to be part of numerous major projects for companies such as Samsung, Michelin, Volvo, and more.”

The Charlotte Metro base will be located at 1430 Castle Court in Gastonia, North Carolina. Along with the new office comes the promotion of Brent Pipgrass, one of GMCI’s seasoned professionals, to Director of Construction – Carolinas. Pipgrass will oversee the operations of the new office which will cover the South Atlantic Coastal state of Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.

In announcing Pipgrass’s promotion, Simpson said, “I have known and worked with Brent more 15 years and am thrilled to have him leading this endeavor. Brent is known throughout the region and the industry for his experience and expertise in managing large and complex mechanical projects and teams. His wisdom and drive will help GMCI grow and thrive in the region.”

GMCI’s service area has included multiple states for several years. The company is now
prepared to include Florida in its footprint. “Expanding our services into the Sunshine State was a decision that simply made sense for our team. Florida, along with Georgia, were the only two states in the Southeast that we had not expanded into as of 2021,” Simpson said. “Many of our existing customers have operations in Florida and the timing is right for Green Mechanical to make a strategic move into that market.”

In addition to GMCI’s home office and operations center in Glasgow, the company operates an Engineering Office plus an operations center in Lexington and a sheet metal fabrication facility in Glasgow.
