A story we brought you earlier this month has been updated from the KSP Bowling Green Post 3. Last Tuesday around 10:47PM KSP Post 3 received a request from Scottsville Police Department to investigate a shooting incident in Allen County. Troopers and Detectives responded to Moncrief Street in Scottsville.
KSP arrived at the home and located 27 year old Christopher Jones of Scottsville and 63 year old Regina Ray also of Scottsville with gunshot wounds. Initial investigation indicated that 34 year old, Ryan Slaughter of Scottsville made entry into the home and shot both Jones and Ray. Slaughter fled the home and was later located in Scottsville.
Jones and Ray were transported to the University of Vanderbilt Hospital and yesterday according to the KSP Post 3 around 5:25PM Regina Ray succumbed to injuries sustained in the shooting.
Slaughter is lodged in the Allen County Jail and has been charged with:
2 Counts of Assault 1st Degree
Burglary 1st Degree
3 Counts of Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree
One Count of Murder
The investigation continues by KSP detectives.
