GLASGOW, Ky. – Local law enforcement will conduct various traffic safety checkpoints across the city limits.
The checkpoints are scheduled through Jan. 6. Police released the name of a few of the roadways where the checkpoints will occur – Columbia Avenue, West Main Street, North Jackson Highway and Happy Valley Road.
“Traffic safety checkpoints are a valuable tool used to promote the safety and well being of the public as well as providing police with visibility and interaction with the community,” according to a news release from Glasgow Police.
Officers will enforce laws relating to operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs or alcohol, licensing of motor vechiles and operators, registration and insurance violations, seat belt and child restraint violations, and motor vehicle equipment violations.
