Larry Dale Higgins, Sr., age 66 of Brownsville, departed this life on Monday, November 29, 2021 at The Medical Center of Bowling Green. The Jefferson County native was born on January 7, 1955 to the late Bernard W. Higgins I and Edith Ann Higgins. He was married to Lisa Higgins, who survives.
Larry retired as a machinist from Industrial Carbide Saw and Tool Corporation, and attended Bible Wesleyan Methodist Church. Although he was little in statue, his heart was his biggest feature. He loved racing and making memories at the race track and watching his Louisville Cardinals.
Besides his wife, he leaves to honor his memory— four children, Larry Higgins, Jr. (Crystal) of Chalybeate, Wendi Rogers (Darrell) of Vine Grove, Shauna Thomas (Jeremy) of Brownsville and Howard Dick (Monica) of Greenville, IN; ten grandchildren, AlexisLee Kimble (Thomas), Devin Rogers (Jordyn), Alivia Higgins, BradLee Simmons, Cianan and Dayton Thomas, Isaiah, Whitney, Addie and Logan Dick; two great-grandchildren; four siblings, Angie White, Cindy Sakai (Larry), Carl Higgins (Joanne) and Daryl “Robbie” Higgins, along with several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Joseph Higgins, Bonita Legg, Charles “Chucky” Higgins, Bernard “Bunny” Higgins II and William “Billy” Higgins I.
