GLASGOW, Ky. — Helping the Hardworking, a Barren County non-profit group, will provide free lunch to Veterans on Thursday. First responders and healthcare workers will also be provided a free lunch in the coming days.
The group said veterans will be provided a pulled pork sandwich. The non-profit has partnered with Rib Lickers in Glasgow to provide the meals.
The initiative seeks to recognize individuals for their hard work.
First responders will be provided a free meal on Nov. 17 at the BBQ Hut along Reynolds Road. Healthcare workers are eligible for a free meal Nov. 18 at Cowboys Country Cooking.
The group also plans to continue its Christmastime tradition of recognizing hardworking individuals. Plans and ways to nominate will be released soon.
