Kenneth Compton, 84, Glasgow, died Saturday, October 23,
2021 at his residence. A native of Metcalfe County, he was the son of the
late Hershel Compton and Inez Sexton Compton Jackson. He had worked for
many years for McMurtrey Ready-Mix and was a member of the House of Prayer
Church in Edmonton. Survivors include his wife of 56 years Sheila Melton Compton; one
daughter Tina Lynn Compton; two sons: Kevin Compton and wife Tina Fay, and
Shannon Compton and wife Vanessa; eleven grandchildren: Candie Compton,
Nicholas (Nick) Compton and wife Lindsey, Dylan Compton and fiance
Christie, Sarah Compton, Addison Compton, Mila Compton, Allysa Bull, Claire
Bull, Chris Page and wife Amber, Jackie Page, and James Page and wife
Dakota; six great-grandchildren: Maelyn, Evelynn, Faith, Serenity, Houston
and soon to be Ivory; two brothers: Larry Compton of Park City and Haskel
Compton of Sacramento, CA; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one
daughter Lesa Compton; two sons: Kelly Compton and Todd Compton; one brother
Charles Compton; and two sisters: Dorothy Hale and Margie Cross.
Funeral services for Kenneth Compton will be held 12 noon Tuesday at the Hatcher &
Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the House of Prayer Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 3 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
