Patricia Ann “Patty” Proffitt Wood, age 68, of Elsberry, Missouri,
died Friday, October 22, 2021.
Patty was born in 1953 a daughter of the late
Louis Edgar, and Martha Maxine Kerr Proffitt. She was a graduate of St.
Charles High School; and earned a Bachelors Degree in Social Work from
Arkansas State University, Patty later earned her Masters Degree at
Missouri State and was employed by The State of Missouri for many years.
She was a member of Mount Vernon Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband Rick, two sons; Carl Patrick Goist, Jr. and
Eric Raymond Goist both of Missouri; two daughters; Rachel
Michelle Williams of Alabama and Leah Elizabeth Goist, of Missouri. Two brothers; Michael Louis Proffitt, and wife Susan of Glasgow, and Jeffrey Alan Proffitt of Las Vegas; seven grandchildren,
and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Graveside services for Patty Wood will be conducted at 2:00p.m. on Tuesday
at The Isenberg Cemetery with Interment to follow.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 24, 2021
at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home in Elsberry, Missouri.
In lieu of flowers; the family suggests that memorials take the form of
donation to The Alzheimer’s Assocaition in care of Bartley & Sons Funeral
Home.
