GLASGOW, Ky. – Span Tech LLC, which designs and produce custom plastic chain conveyor systems for manufacturers, broke ground on Tuesday afternoon, at their new location. 101 Hilltopper Way in Glasgow is where they will relocate and expand their Glasgow Operations. The project incorporates the renovation of a 42,000-sf building, formerly Sitel, and the construction of a new 100,000 sf facility which will increase the manufacturing, warehouse, and assembly areas to meet growing customer demand.
Span Tech manufactures conveyor systems and other material handling technology for a wide range of industries. The company’s investment includes 10 acres purchased on Hilltopper Way. This project will bring $13,200,000 in capital investment and create 40 new jobs.
“Span Tech has been a great employer and strong corporate citizen for the past four decades and we are grateful
for their decision to expand here,” said Maureen Carpenter, Executive Director for the Barren County Economic
Authority. “These 40 new jobs will provide a significant boost to our local economy.”
Span Tech currently operates from its warehouse at 1115 Cleveland Ave.
