The Glasgow Lady Scotties golf team has captured the region 3 championship. This is their first regional championship since 2013. With 4 seniors on the team, the Lady Scotties shot a blazing 347 as a team a far distance ahead of the second-place Bowling Green who shot a 386. Individually the Lady Scotties were led by Graycen Flatt shooting an 83, Nina McMurtrey, 85; Lenna Harlow 87 and Bailey Birdsell shot 92. Barren County Golf standout Landry Steenbergen qualified for state individually shooting an 85 for the tournament. The Girls State Tournament is next week at Bowling Green Country Club.
The Boys 3rd region tournament is scheduled to be played today at Rolling Hills Country Club in Russellville.
