Henrietta “Sue” Smith Forrest, passed on to her heavenly home Saturday, September 18, 2021, in Tompkinsville, KY, at the home of her caregiver niece, Ginger Richardson (Rick).
She was born January 17, 1946, in Owl Springs, KY to Martin Hill Smith and Gladys Smith, who precede her in death. She is also preceded in death by her husbands, Jackie Forrest, and Herbert Chapman; brother, Leslie Dale Smith; brothers-in-law, Bobby Atwell, John Peden, Buddy Harper, and Jimmy Wilkerson; sisters-in-law, Catherine Smith, and Diana Smith.
Sue was a member of the Hiseville Christian Church. She lived in Gibsonton, Florida for over 40 years. One of her great joys was being mom and grandma to her stepchildren and grandchildren. She was a seamstress, Publix baker and retired from the school system in Hillsborough County, Florida.
Sue is survived by Vicki Tory (Dan) & Nichole Charette; Tammy Chapman, Christopher, Hannah & Amanda with Great granddaughter Ella; Anthony Chapman, Anthony, Jr., and Brittany; her brothers, Numia Hill, James Thomas, Larry Martin, and Terry Evans Smith; her sisters, Elizabeth Johnson (Cloyd), Violet Davis (Roy), Carolyn Harper, Sarah Shaw (Joe), Janie Shaw (Franklin), Judy Young (Charlie), Polly Spillman (Richard), and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be 4:00pm Thursday, September 23rd at the A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with cremation to follow the service. Visitation will be on Thursday from 10:00am until time for the service at 4:00pm at the funeral home. A.F. Crow is honored to be entrusted with the care of Mrs. Forrest.
