Estes Earl Thomas

Estes Earl Thomas, 83, of Tompkinsville, KY passed away Monday, September 13th, at Monroe County Medical Center.

Estes was born in Monroe County, KY on May 13, 1938, a son of the late Pearl (Isenberg) and Tom Thomas.

He was a member of Liberty Methodist Church. He was retired from Belden Corporation.

On October 6, 1979, he married Patty Walker.

Estes is  survived by his wife, Patty Thomas, of Tompkinsville, KY; four sons Steve Thomas, and wife, Heidi, of Bettendorf, IA;  Roger Thomas, and wife, Carla;  Eddy Thomas, and wife, Lisa, and  Lynn Thomas, all of Tompkinsville, KY;  a step daughter, Cherie Eads, and husband, Rudy, of Livingston, TN;  two step sons Donald Harper, and wife, Vickie and Michael Harper, and wife, Kim, both of Tompkinsville, KY;   6 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and 3 step great grandchildren.

Estes is also survived by two sisters, Clara Geralds, of Tompkinsville, KY and  Linda Spear, and husband, Reggie of Tompkinsville, KY; and a brother, Carl D. Thomas, of Austin, KY.

Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Eva Ree Duvall; stepdaughter, Connie Johnson; daughter-in-law, Naomi Thomas; sister-in-law, Clarice Thomas; and brother-in-law, Cletas Geralds.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, September 16th at Yokley Trible Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, KY with burial to follow at Monroe County Memorial Lawn.

Visitation is Wednesday, September 15, from 5-8 PM, and Thursday morning after 8 AM until service time at 1:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Estes’ memory may be made to Liberty Cemetery.
