Glasgow Police Officer injured in wreck this afternoon

A Glasgow police officer was injured late this afternoon in a two car collision at the intersection of Highway 31E and Highway 70 in Northern Barren County.  Few details have been released as Kentucky State Police is the lead agency investigating the accident.  WCL:U News has learned that the officer involved was transported to T.J. Samson Hospital by the Barren Metcalfe EMS,  accompanied by a police escort.  No names of those involved have been released.  The injuries to the Glasgow Police officer are believed to be non-life threatening.  WCLU news is awaiting contact from KSP.
