Around 1:30 this afternoon a thunderstorm moved through the cave city area. High gusts of wind during the storm resulted in structural damage to homes, barns, outbuildings and vehicles. A number of trees were uprooted in the area around Sunny Brook Trailer Park and the Happy Valley Road. The Barren County Emergency Management team is in the area assessing the damage at this time. There were no injuries reported as a result of the afternoon storms.
