Mary Jo Settles Lones, age 83, died Thursday March 11, 2021 in Atlanta, Georgia. Born in Glasgow, KY on June 16, 1937 to the late Jewell Settle and Arlene Moss Settles, preceding her in death is her husband Joe Lones Jr… Mary graduated from Centre College in 1959, moved to Scottsville, Kentucky where she spent many years as an elementary school teacher.
She is survived by her daughter Laura Lones of Atlanta, GA, sister Emily Polson of Glasgow, KY, three brothers Bill Settle and wife Nancy of Glasgow, KY, Wilbur Settle of Glasgow, KY, and Francis Settle of Fort Meade, FL.
Visitation will be Sunday August 15, 2021 at 12 PM to 2 PM at the T. W. Crow & Son Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be Sunday August 15, 2021 at 2 PM at the T. W. Crow & Son Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Allen County Public Library, the Atlanta Botanical Garden, the Scottsville Baptist Church, or a charity of your choice.
