Margie Inez Cross, 80, of Glasgow, Kentucky passed away Sunday, August 8, 2021 at her residence. She was born December 5, 1940 in Glasgow, Kentucky to the late Herschel Compton and Inez Sexton Compton. Margie retired as an assembly line operator at Mallory’s and worked for 12 years at Kids Daycare. She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include, five daughters, Karen Riley, Sharon Odle, Brenda Fancher, Cathy Branstetter, Kim Keeton (Jimmy), all of Glasgow, Kentucky; thirteen grandchildren, Mitchell Cross, Josh Cross, Candace Cross, Misty Cross, Ryan Branstetter, Amanda Branstetter, Taylor Carver, Brandi Despain, James Keeton, Christy Cross, Shelley Wix, Rachael Hicks, Ricky Cross; twenty great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and three brothers, Larry Compton, Kenneth Compton, and Haskell Compton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Cecil Johnny Cross; two sons, Jimmy Cross, Ricky Cross; one brother, Charles Compton; and one sister, Dorothy Hale.
The funeral service for Mrs. Cross will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, August 12th at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Thursday morning until time for the service at the funeral home.
