Alyce C. Preston

Alyce C. Preston, 96, Glasgow, passed away Wednesday, August 4,2021 at Hometown Manor in Glasgow.  A native of Barren County, she was the daughter of the late Mitchell Y. Chamberlain and Lou Kerley Chamberlain. She was a retired teacher with Barren County Schools, a homemaker, and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Glasgow.  Survivors include several nieces, nephews, and cousins along with innumerable students who loved her. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Cave City Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until funeral time at the funeral home.  It is recommended, but not required, that attendees wear face coverings or masks. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Berea College, or Salvation Army.
