GPD responds to Domestic Complaint

On 07/28/2021, the Glasgow Police Department responded to Scottie Drive in reference to a domestic complaint.

 Upon arrival, Officers located Philip E. Massey and confirmed that he had been in an altercation with a female victim. Officers also noticed that he had injuries on his hands and he was transported to T J Samson Hospital for treatment. After he was treated and released from T J Samson Hospital, he was then placed into Officer Robinson’s police vehicle to be transported to the Barren County Detention Center.

During transport to the Barren County Detention, Philip E. Massey was able to break out the rear side window of the police cruiser and escape from custody where he then fled on foot before being apprehended by Officer Jewelie Robinson and assisting Officers of the Glasgow Police Department. Both Massey and Officer Robinson were transported to T J Samson for minor injuries and they were treated and released.

Philip Ethan Massey of Bowling Green Ky. was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication, Criminal Mischief 1st Degree, Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree, Escape 3rd Degree, Fleeing Or Evading Police 1st Degree (On Foot), Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree, Assault 3dr Degree Police Officer, Disorderly Conduct 2nd Degree, Resisting Arrest, Menacing, Terroristic Threatening 3rd Degree, Disarming A Peace Officer.

He was lodged in the Barren County Detention Center.

The arrest was made by Officer Jewelie Robinson, assisted by additional Officers with the Glasgow Police Department.
