Clifton Rudolph Jackson, 87, passed away at his residence in San Antonio, Texas, on April 19, 2021.  Clifton was born in Glasgow, Kentucky on October 16, 1933 to Vernon and Pauline Jackson. He was the youngest brother of Vernon D. Jackson, Allison Chism, and Geraldine Mutter.  Clifton was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, and a granddaughter, Angel Smith.

Clifton was married for 67 years to Bonnie Huffman Jackson.  They traveled the world together while Clifton served in the US Army, living in Germany and Africa to name a couple of places.  Upon retirement from the Army, 1st Sgt. Clifton Jackson and his beloved wife, Bonnie, settled in San Antonio, Texas.

Clifton is survived by his wife, Bonnie, his son, Barry (Kim) Jackson of Glasgow and his daughter, Sherry (Greg) Lawhorn of Greenback, TN. He is also survived by four grandchildren:  Lee Jackson, Carl Jackson, Joe Delarious, and Brandi Dyke, and five great-grandchildren.  He also leaves several nephews, nieces, and other close family members.

Clifton was a patriot, a Christian, and had a sparkling and deliberate personality. His relationship with God was prominent, and his love for family and country was boundless.

Clifton was cremated, and a visitation/memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, July 31, 2021, at Peter’s Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Lucas, KY beginning at 11:00 am with full military rights.
