Dickie Dane Hunt, age 84, of Cave City, KY passed away Saturday, July 03,
2021 at Barren County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Glasgow, KY. He
was born on February 11, 1937 in Edmonson County, KY to the late William
Leon “Monk” Hunt and Ethel Coats Hunt.
He was a born-again Christian and an automobile mechanic having worked at
Coats DX in Cave City and Jim Johnson Pontiac in Bowling Green. There was
just about anything he couldn’t fix.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Hazel Cox Hunt of Cave City;
children, Carlene Wheelock (John) of Auburn, KY, Terry Sloan (Tommy) of
Franklin, KY; one brother, Clifford Gene Hunt of Florida; two sisters,
Enola Lowry of Iowa and Sharon Dennison of Alabama; grandchildren, Talitha
Lutterman (Doug) of Glasgow, KY, Rick Hunt (Sheri) of Scottsville, KY,
Holly Hogue (Dustan) of Scottsville, KY and David Graf of Bowling Green,
KY; and great –grandsons, Tyler Hunt of Scottsville, KY and Patrick Hunt of
Scottsville, KY.
Dickie was especially fond of all of his nieces and nephews and was well
liked by everyone he knew.
He was preceded in death by son, Mark Allen Hunt n 1967 and son, Rickie
Dane Hunt, Sr. in 2020. Dickie was also preceded in death by brothers Lee
Wayne Hunt, Eddie Vern Hunt, Preston Hunt, Jerry Hunt and Rondal Zone Hunt.
Graveside funeral services will at 11 AM on Wednesday July 07, 2021 at the
Campground Cemetery with burial to immediately follow. Visitation at the
Bob Hunt Funeral Chapel, Cave City, will be from 4 to 8 PM on Tuesday, July
- There will be no visitation on Wednesday.
