Charles Flander Thompson

Charles Flander Thompson, age 81 of Cub Run passed away Monday,  May 31, 2021 at the Hospice House in Bowling Green. He was a native of Hart County and a retired employee of LG&E. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, ginseng digging, raising cattle, attending bluegrass festivals with his wife Faye, and enjoyed spending time with his grandsons. He was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Faye D. Thompson in 2015;  his parents, Fred and Thelma Thompson.

He is survived by his son, Scott Thompson and his wife Cassie of Cub Run; two grandsons, Seth Thompson of Bowling Green, Ethan Thompson and his wife Jenny of Munfordville; one great-grandson, Warrick Thompson of Munfordville; three brothers, Ralph J. Thompson (Reva) of Cub Run, Ronnie Thompson (Jan) of Munfordville and Lee Vaughn Thompson (Kaye) of Munfordville; one sister, Shirley T. Huff (Steve) of Horse Cave; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 4, 2021 at Winn Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Center Point Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at Winn Funeral Home and from 8 a.m. until time of service on Friday.

Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of contributions to the Center Point Cemetery Fund or to the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky. Donations may be left at Winn Funeral Home.
