Lena I. York, 73, of Brownsville died Wednesday May 19,2021 at her home surrounded by her family.
The Edmonson County native was a sewing machine operator for Kentucky Pants
Factory in Glasgow and a member of First Freewill Baptist Church in Glasgow. She was
A daughter of the late Aven Leroy Wilson and Helen Irene Lindsey Wilson.
Surviving are her husband, Gary L. York; two daughters, Lisa York (William) of Rhoda
And Jeanne Vibbert (Sonny Doan) of Mammoth Cave; three sisters, Patricia
Cowles(Richard) of Chalybeate, Brenda Warren of Rhoda and Barbara Conley of
Bowling Green; three grandchildren, Jessica Lindsey (Brandon), Jamie Whiteside,
And Morgan Meredith (Jacob Dukes); three great grandchildren, Shane Lindsey,
Parker Lindsey and Ayvan Lindsey; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday at Fairview United Baptist
Church. Visitation will take place 2-7 PM Friday at Gravil Funeral Home and after
10:00AM Saturday at the church.
