Shirley Moore Petty, 82, of Scottsville, KY passed away Thursday, May 13, 2021 at the Medical Center at Bowling Green. The Scottsville, KY native was a homemaker, retired employee of Sumitomo, former employee of Washington Overall Manufacturing and attended East Willow Church of God. She was a daughter of the late Omer Leo Moore and Pearlie I Dora Harrison Moore and wife of the late Curtis Shelvy Petty.
She is survived by 1 son: Greg Whitney and wife, Markia, Scottsville, KY;
2 daughters: Kylia Brown, Scottsville, KY and Teresa Lyle and husband, Gene, Bowling Green, KY;
1 step son: Bobby Petty, Scottsville, KY;
1 step daughter: Sherry Centers and husband, James David, Adolphus, KY;
1 sister: Jimmie Anderson, Adolphus, KY;
10 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren and
Several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Lattie Moore and Goldie Moore; 2 sisters: Alice McGuffey Fowler and Beulah Armour and a son-in-law: Eddie Brown.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Patrick officiating and burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday and after 7:00 a.m. Saturday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home.
