GLASGOW, Ky. — A suspect in a standoff involving Glasgow Police and the Barren County Sheriff’s Office has been detained.
Glasgow Police responded to the scene at 3:45 p.m. Wednesday. A person was apparently reported for having a gun. It’s unclear what the person was doing with the weapon.
The unidentified Black man was detained by Glasgow Police shortly after 8 p.m. Several people became angry while officers detained the man.
“Let him walk,” bystanders shouted.
The suspect appeared to show some resistance against officers. Three patrol persons walked the man to a nearby cruiser.
Several people continue to be at the scene cursing police officers. No further information is available at this time.
