Hillis Brantley “H.B” Wood, 79, of Hermitage , TN passed away Thursday, May 6, 2021 at his residence. The Scottsville, KY native spent most of his life working in pharmaceutical sales in Scottsville and Glasgow. He loved his family and the Lord and was an active member of Grove Church in Smyrna, TN. He was an avid hiker and enjoyed going on hiking trips with his son. His family, especially the granddaughters and great grandsons, were such an enjoyment to him. H.B. was the son of the late Aldridge wood and Hazel Inez Gray Wood and husband of the late Martha Ann Mayhew Wood.
He is survived by his son: Keith Wood and wife, Dawna, Hermitage, TN;
2 granddaughters: Whitney Wood (Brian) and Molly Wood;
2 great grandsons: Jack and Thomas;
1 sister: Jennetta Carol Stinson and husband, Dan, Scottsville, KY;
1 sister-in-law: Linda Newman, Scottsville, KY;
A nephew: Chris Stinson, Scottsville, KY;
A niece: Tracy Davis, Scottsville, KY.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother -in-law: Basil and Nola Mayhew and his brother-in-law: William Mayhew and wife, Noka.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Goad Funeral Home with cremation to follow. Visitation will be after 10:00 a.m. until funeral time Tuesday at Goad Funeral Home.
