Virginia Rose Craine, 79, Center, passed away Friday, May 7, 2021 at the T J Samson Community Hospital. A native of Metcalfe County, she was the daughter of the late Vernon and Mary Lucille Hoover Reece. She was a retired employee of Sorensen’s and a member of the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, Jerry Miller and his wife Laura of Center; seven grandchildren: Christy Brooks and husband Kevin, April Rooks, Autumn Johnson, Jessica McKenzie, Heather York and husband Jeremy, Robin Clark, and Taylor Bedwell; two sisters: Ann Bishop and Sue Davis; one brother, Larry Reece; 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters: Kelly Sue Elmore and Cindy Joan Bedwell; and two brothers: Bobby Reece and Jody Reece.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Houk Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm Sunday and continue Monday morning at the funeral home. For those unable to attend, the service will be live streamed at www.facebook.com/hatchersaddler.
In keeping with the Governor’s recommendations for safety during funeral and memorial services, the number of attendees in the funeral home at any given time will be limited; no food permitted in the lounge; social distancing will be necessary; and face coverings are recommended.
