Jimmy Lee Polston

Jimmy Lee Polston, 77, of Scottsville, KY passed away Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at Cal Turner Rehab & Specialty Care.  The Logan County, KY native was a retired transportation manager for Dollar General where he worked for 31 years; a member of First United Methodist Church, the Wednesday Morning Breakfast Club, Graham Lodge #208 F & A M and Allen County Cattlemen’s Association.  He was a former member and past president of the Allen County Jaycees and former Allen County Fair Chairman.  He was a son of the late Arnold Wilson Polston and Martha Lou (Tishia) Vinson Polston and husband of the late Connie Lee Majors Polston.

 

He is survived by 1 son:  David W. Polston, M.D. and wife, Ellen, Rocky River, OH;

2 daughters:  Cynthia Leann Shockley and husband, Tim, Scottsville, KY and Grecia Lynn Wilson and husband, Elder Jeremy, Alvaton, KY;

9 grandchildren:  Letishia Brooke Woodcock (Dakota), Sarah Marie Shockley, Nicholas Kane Shockley (Haleigh), Elena Helen Shockley, John Carter Wilson, Jay Christian Wilson, Graclynn Elizabeth Wilson, Hope Elizabeth Polston and Drew Weber Polston;

3 great grandchildren:  Laken, Cora and Maddox.

He was preceded in death by infant twins:  Shelby and Sherry Polston; 2 half sisters:  Bernice Vinson and Jernice Vinson Sexton and an infant brother:  J. D. Polston.

 

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Patrick officiating and burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday and after 7:00 a.m. Saturday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home.  Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Kentucky Methodist Children’s Homes.  Donations may be made at Goad Funeral Home.
