June Elizabeth Harston Minix Keown, 83, of Murfreesboro, TN formerly of Scottsville, KY passed away peacefully, Thursday, April 22, 2021, at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro, TN.
She was born December 24, 1937 in Allen County, KY to the late Frank Harston and Lucille Perkins Harston. She was a graduate of Allen County High School and The Lois Lane School of Cosmetology. She was a hairdresser for many years and was also an instructor at the cosmetology school. She was of Baptist faith. She was a loving mother grandmother and great grandmother. She was most proud of her family and the lineage left behind.
She is survived by two daughters: Mitzi Pudlo, wife of Rick, of The Woodlands, TX, and Marti Dearing, of Murfreesboro, TN.
Three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one brother Gordan Harston.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, April 26, 2021 at 2:00PM at Harwood & Strode Funeral Home, with burial to follow in the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Scottsville, KY.
Visitation will be held Monday, April 26, 2021 from 12:00PM-2:00PM at Harwood & Strode Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Contributions can be made at the funeral home.
