Roy Wayne Hood, age 79, of Glasgow, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2021 at Hospice of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green, KY. Roy retired from RR Donnelley’s and Son. His passion first and foremost were his daughters, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, always dedicated to loving those around him. He loved a good UK Basketball game. He liked fishing and golfing, if only to make memories. Roy was a 1960 graduate of Temple Hill High School and member of the East Main Street Methodist Church. He was the most kindhearted, loving, and generous soul. And he will always live in our hearts with nothing but the best memories, because he gave us his all.

He is survived by his loving daughters, Beverly Pedigo Casteel (Chad) and Teressa Hood both of Glasgow; step daughter, Cindy Thomas (Jeremy) of Bowling Green; his grandchildren, Tara Landrum (Grant) of Glasgow, Tasha Cotter (Daniel) of Coupeville, WA, Tyler Pedigo of Bowling Green, Nick Peters (Jessica) of Bowling Green, and Daniel Moffitt of Glasgow; two great grandchildren, Ellie Grace Landrum of Glasgow, and William Tyler Cotter of Coupeville, WA; two brothers, Dascal Hood (Joyce) of Alvalton, and Gary Hood (Lynne) of Crestview Hills, KY. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to his parents, Albert Hood and Edith Hope Hood, he is preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Ann Pursley Hood; a son, Kevin Wayne Hood; and a brother, Ezra David Hood.

Funeral services will be 3:00pm Sunday, April 11, 2021 at the A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Union #2 Cemetery at Nobob, Ky. Visitation will be from 11:00am until time for service at the funeral home.

All those who wish to honor and remember Mr. Hood in person at the service or visitation, must wear a mask or other appropriate facial covering and practice physical distancing for the safety of those in attendance.
