Marty Thad Lile, 54, of Glasgow, passed away Sunday, March 28, 2021 at his residence after a brief illness. Marty was born October 22, 1966 to Mark Lile and Sharon Karnes Lile who survive. Early in Marty’s life, he worked in Nashville as a bus and transportation driver. He had the opportunity to drive for and meet several big-name artists in the music industry.  He then worked for a short time with Walbert Trucking Company in Glasgow, from there Marty moved on to become the manager of the Bowling Green Livestock Market. He served on the Board of Director with the Kentucky Cattleman’s Association and Warren County Cattleman’s Association. Marty received his Real Estate License and began employment with Crye- Leike Real Estate agency as an agent.

Marty loved giving back to the community, and he loved to grill. He would combine the two as often as he could, donating his time and talent grilling for numerous charity functions. His favorite was school events and the March of Dimes. Marty loved his church family at Community Baptist Church in Greensburg, KY.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 18 years, Monica Underwood Lile; one daughter, Chelsie Parrish of Nashville, TN; two sons, Michael Buchanan (Mandy), and Craig Buchanan (Shelly)  both of Glasgow; grandchildren, Briley and Brenley Buchanan of Glasgow, Swaan Oxendine of CA, Savannah Buchanan (James) of FL, and Micaela Buchanan of FL; great grandchild, Nova Buchanan of FL; sister, Mahlah Lile of Glasgow; several nieces and nephews to include a special nephew, Marcus Trent.

Funeral service will be 1:00pm Friday, April 2, 2021 at the A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Houk Cemetery in Metcalfe County. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4:00pm until 8:00pm and on Friday morning until time for the service at the funeral home. For all those who attend, please practice social distancing, and wear an appropriate face covering.
