Barren River DTF arrests one upon discovery of drugs, paraphernalia

CAVE CITY, Ky. — A Barren County man was arrested Thursday after a drug investigation.

The Barren River Drug Task Force responded along with the ATF to 106 White Ave. in Cave City. The DTF encountered a person at the home.

Authorities said Dallas Flowers, 48, was at the home, and he gave consent to search the residence. Detectives discovered over an ounce of crystal methamphetamine, a large amount of marijuana, prescription pills, suspected cocaine, scales and drug paraphernalia. Those items were discovered in an outbuilding being the home.

Flowers admitted the items belong to him. He also admitted to trafficking.

Flowers was arrested and charged with first degree trafficking in a controlled substance (over two grams of meth); first degree trafficking in a controlled substance (less than four grams of cocaine) and third degree trafficking in a controlled substance (less than 20 dosage units).

Additional charges may be pending, a news release said.
