GLASGOW, Ky. — The Barren County Sheriff’s Office responded to a domestic violence call Tuesday, and one man was arrested.

Authorities responded to 580 Hidden Lake Road Apartment 20. A physical domestic dispute was in progress when the call was received, according to an arrest citation.

Officials were notified that the aggressor, identified as 32-year-old Bryan A. Perry, had apparently returned inside the apartment.

A woman was outside the home and screaming for help upon arrival of law enforcement, the citation said.

The two involved in the domestic dispute were inside a bedroom.

“I overheard loud cursing coming from the bedroom from both a male and female voice,” said Deputy Tyler Maxey in the citation narrative.

Perry was detained based on information from the original call.

Maxey spoke to the female victim and she confirmed Perry caused injury to her face. The female had a large, visible knot on the right side of her face. Other “fresh wounds” were noted on the left side of her face and neck.

Perry told deputies the two were in an argument, and he pushed the female down. She then hit her face on “something in their bedroom.”

Perry was placed under arrest, and police located a syringe and methamphetamine in his pocket. He was charged with methamphetamine related drug charged in 2019.

Perry faces charges relating to assault, possessing drug paraphernalia and first degree possession of a controlled substance.
