Erika Elsaesser Geralds

Erika Elsaesser Geralds, 93, of Glasgow, Kentucky passed away Thursday, February 25, 2021 at T. J. Samson Community Hospital. She was born July 8, 1927 in Stuttgart, Germany to the late Karl Adolf Elsaesser and Anna Marie Brommer Elsaesser. Erika was a former librarian at the University of Louisville and a member of Beaver Creek Missionary Baptist Church. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Survivors include, one son, Michael E. Geralds (Deborah) of Marion, Iowa; one daughter, Susan K. Geralds of Louisville, Kentucky; and one daughter-in-law, Judy Geralds of Louisville, Kentucky, and one son-in-law, Joseph Hillerich, of Louisville, Kentucky; six grandchildren, Jonathan Geralds (Cate), Justin Geralds (Jill), Eric Hillerich, Sherri Wadsack (Matthew), Celeste Geralds (David), Emily Geralds (Chaz); and eight great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Paul Geralds; one son, Paul T. Geralds; one daughter, Norma L. Hillerich; and one brother, Otto Elsaesser.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Shanti Niketan Hospice Home, American Cancer Society, or Kentucky Hemophilia Foundation.

The funeral service for Mrs. Geralds will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, March 4th at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM and on Thursday morning until time for the service at the funeral home.
