Elene Vincent Meek Wood, 87, of Louisville passed away at 2:11 PM Wednesday Nov. 11, 2020 at Baptist Health Hospital in Louisville.
The Edmonson County native was a retired plant operator for Jefferson County Schools, a former maid at Mammoth Cave Hotel and a member of New Home General Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late Kellie Vincent and Pearl York Vincent and the wife of the late Charlie Russell Meek.
Services will be private with burial to take place in Dit Vincent Cemetery. Gravil Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Surviving are her husband Renick Wood; two daughters, Gayle Seay (Steve) and Ronda Welsh (Chuck) both of Louisville; a sister, Bethel Jaggers of Mammoth Cave; 13 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and nine great great grandchildren.
