Judy L. Barnfield Cox, 73, of Scottsville, KY passed away Monday, October 12, 2020 at Hospice House of Southern Kentucky. The Lafayette, TN native was a retired employee of Dollar General and member of New Salem Missionary Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late J B Barnfield and Mary Lou Gregory Barnfield and wife of the late Bobby Gene Cox.
She is survived by 1 son: Michael Keith Cox and wife, Leslie, Akersville, KY;
1 daughter: Kerri Cox Shrum and husband, Jimmy, Scottsville, KY;
1 brother: Justin Barnfield and wife, Christy, Red Boling Springs, TN;
1 sister: Patricia Holland, Amos Community;
6 grandchildren: Jordan Smalling, Clayton Cornwell (Mekenzie), Colton Cox, Mason Smalling, Kaynen Cox and Jaxon Shrum;
1 great granddaughter: Kensley Cornwell;
3 step grandchildren: Matt Shrum, Amber Wood (Tommy) and Cody Shrum;
7 step great grandchildren: Maddie, Matthew, Logan, Branson, Kyleigh, Charli and Audri;
Several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. Friday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Patrick and Bro. Keith Patrick officiating and burial in Haysville Cemetery. Visitation will be 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday and after 7:00 A.M. Friday until funeral time. According to the Kentucky Funeral Director’s Association, social distancing and face mask are recommended and no PUBLIC lounge is available.
