Brenda Cooper Smalling, 69, of Scottsville, KY passed away Thursday, October 8, 2020 at the Medical Center at Bowling Green. The Scottsville, KY native was a former employee of Washington Overall Manufacturing and General Electric, a babysitter and co-founder of Calvary Mission Pentecostal Church where she served as Sunday school teacher. She was a daughter of the late J L Cooper and Velma Joyce McGuffey Cooper.
She is survived by her husband: Bro. Danny Smalling, Scottsville, KY;
1 son: Danny Smalling, Jr. and wife, Jennifer, Scottsville, KY;
2 daughters: Kim Oakes and Shannon Smalling, both of Scottsville, KY;
Special nephew: Jason Cooper and wife, Glenda, Clarksville, TN;
11 grandchildren: Matthew, Colt, Luke, Hadley, Jaden, Layla, Ciera, Adalyn, JeJe, Courtney and Kye.
She was preceded in death by 1 granddaughter: Brooklyn Smalling; 1 grandson: Ty Dodson and 1 sister: Vicky Meador.
Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. Saturday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Patrick officiating and burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be after 10:00 A.M. Saturday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home.
According to the Kentucky Funeral Director’s Association social distancing and face mask are recommended and no PUBLIC lounge is available.
