Health Department hosting flu clinics across district

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Barren River District Health Department is hosting several drive-thru flu clinics across the district in the coming days.

The CDC recommends everyone ages 6-year-old and older be vaccinated.

“This year, it is more important than ever to be vaccinated for the flu,” according to a BRDHD news release.

The vaccine is free with insurance and $30 without insurance. Cash or check only are accepted.

The dates and locations are as follows:

Hart County, Oct. 13

9 a.m. until vaccines run out.

Hart County Fairgrounds. Located at 2184 S. Dixie Hwy. in Munfordville.

Logan County, Oct. 15

9 a.m. until vaccines run out.

Logan County Extension Office. Located at 255 John Pope Ave. in Russellville.

Simpson County, Oct. 20

9 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Franklin-Simpson Jim Roberts Community Park. The entrance is near 795 N. St. in Franklin.

Butler County, Oct. 21

9 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Charles Black City Park. Located at 363 Park Ln. in Morgantown.

Metcalfe County, Oct. 22

9 a.m. until vaccines run out.

Located at 50 Fairground St. in Edmonton.

Dates for Edmonson and Warren Counties will be announced at a later date, according to the BRDHD.
