GLASGOW, Ky. – The Glasgow Electric Plant Board recently announced that it has partnered with the Tennessee Valley Authority to award $10,000 to the Community Relief Fund of Glasgow/Barren County as part of TVA’s COVID-19 Community Care Fund.

“The Community Relief Fund Staff and Board of Directors are very appreciative for the funds that we’ll be receiving from TVA and Glasgow Electric Plant Board,” said Stacey Janes, a representative of the Community Relief Fund. “We will be using these funds to help pay rent for those in the community that need our help. We have had a considerable amount of more requests for rent due to the crisis. This money will make certain that those that are suffering from job layoff or losses due to the coronavirus will get the help they need.”
