Dickie L. Monroe Jacobs, 85, of Columbus, passed from this life at 5:00 a.m. Sunday, September 27, 2020 at her home. Dickie was born October 12, 1934, in Glasgow, Kentucky, the daughter of Thomas Dickie and Rosa Alice Atnip Nichols. She was formerly employed at the Bartholomew County Children's Home, Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation was a former beautician and enjoyed doing puzzles and painting. Dickie especially loved playing bingo. Survivors include her children, Jerry (Loretta) Coomer of Columbus and Pamela Jo Justice of Florida; grandchildren, Jerica Smith, Rodney Coomer, Shawn Tyree and Shane Tyree; great-grandchildren, Zack and Madison Smith and Darion, Joe and Baylee Coomer and her sister, Blondell Tarry of Glasgow. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Haskel Coomer, Carl Jacobs and Donald Monroe and brothers, Lee, Joe and Maxie Nichols. A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. (CST) Thursday at Bowles Cemetery (Hwy 90 & Vernon School Rd) in Glasgow, Kentucky with Bud Tarry officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana or the Bartholomew County Humane Society. Arrangements were made by Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home with local arrangements by A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home.
