Troy Goins, age 85, of Bee Spring, departed this life on Sunday, September 27, 2020 at Genesis Health Care Edmonson Center. The Edmonson County native was born on June 7, 1935 to the late Alvin M. and Vina Hunt Goins. He was married to his wife of sixty-five years, Joyce Duvall Goins, who survives.
Troy retired from TVA as a heavy equipment operator, and also worked as a carpenter. He was a U.S. Army veteran, and was a deacon and member of Jock United Baptist Church.
Besides his wife, he leaves to honor his memory– three sons, Denis Goins (Rose Mary), Dewayne Goins (Tammy) and Eric Goins (Patty) all of Bee Spring; one daughter, Lavonda Wingfield of Bee Spring; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and two brothers, Joe Goins (Marcella) and Charles Goins (Polly). He was also preceded in death by his son, J.W. Goins.
Interment will be in Jock Church Cemetery.
