Dennis R. McPeak, 72, of Scottsville, KY passed away Friday, September 25, 2020 at his residence. The Scottsville, KY native was a retired mail carrier, a Methodist, a retired MSgt. E-8 with the U.S. Army having served two terms in Viet Nam and Germany, a member of the National Guard during Desert Storm and member of Halfrey Dalton V.F.W. Post 5712 and Glasgow D.A.V. Chapter 20. He was a son of the late Rev. Lee Robey McPeak and Genie Louise Shockley McPeak.
He is survived by his wife: Marcella McPeak, Scottsville, KY;
2 daughter: Shenna Hopkins and fiance’, Kyle Lee and Casey Meador and husband, Jonathan, all of Scottsville, KY;
1 step son: Troy Hood and wife, Kacie, Scottsville, KY;
4 sisters: Nancy Johns Wood and Judy Bessinger, both of Hendersonville, TN; Barbara Simons, Gallatin, TN and Joyce Iovino and husband, Jeff, Panama City Beach, FL;
4 grandchildren: Bayleigh Hopkins, Payton Hopkins, Hadley Taylor and Harper Taylor;
3 step grandchildren: Morgan Rutledge, Clare Hood and Reece Hood;
1 unborn step great grandson.
He was preceded in death by in by 2 brothers: Jerry McPeak and Donald “Chopper” McPeak and 1 grandson: Bryson Hopkins.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Rondal Turner officiating and burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery with military honors by Glasgow D.A.V. Chapter 20. Visitation will be 10:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. Sunday and after 7:00 A.M. Monday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home. According to the Kentucky Funeral Director’s Association social distancing and face mask are recommended and no PUBLIC lounge is available.
