Ellen Ingrid Grider, age 83, of Glasgow, died Friday, September 11, 2020 at her home. She was born in Erfurt Germany to the late Kurt and Maria Noth. She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Preston Grider.
Ellen was a long-time restaurant owner in Glasgow. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and her dogs. Ellen loved to travel and never walked away from her German heritage.
She is survived by one son, Curtis Allen Grider (Christy) of Round Rock, TX; two daughters, Sheila Palatas (Mark) of Louisville and Mary Morton (Joseph) of Lexington; eight grandchildren, Nicole and Adam Palatas, Conner and Collin Grider, Brittany Cummins (Ryan), Joey, Sarah and Emily Morton; one great granddaughter, Sophia Cummins.
A graveside service will be held at 5:00 PM, Saturday, September 12th, at Rexroat Cemetery in Jamestown, KY. Visitation will be 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM Saturday at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home.
All those who wish to honor and remember Ms. Grider in person at the visitation or service must wear a mask or other appropriate facial covering and practice physical distancing while inside the funeral home for the safety of those in attendance.
