Lonnie Nelson Firkins age 80 of Edmonton passed away Saturday, September 05, 2020.   Lonnie was born September 17, 1939 the son of the late Andy Lucian and Maggie Lee Gibson Firkins.    Lonnie was retired from the Edmonton City Street Department.   He is survived by a son Christopher Firkins of Bedford Park, Illinois.  Three sisters.   Elizabeth (Harold) Tabor of Jamestown, Kentucky.   Rae (Don) Gilpin of Edmonton and Mae Edwards of Edmonton.   Two grandchildren.   Noah and Riley.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.   Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.  Ovie and Otis Firkins, Pauline Firkins, Maxine Pennington and Irene Shaw.   Funeral services for Lonnie Firkins will be held 1:00 PM  Wednesday at Butler Funeral Home with burial in the Moore Springs Cemetery.  Funeral services will be reserved for close family only.   A walk-through visitation will be held after 11:00 AM Wednesday until time of services.   Everyone in attendance will be required to wear a mask due the current Covid-19 crisis.
