Mary Parsons Meador, 92, of Scottsville, KY passed away Saturday, July 22, 2020, at Parkwood Health in Phenix City, AL. She was born February 21, 1928, in Covington, KY to the late Raymond Parsons and Beulah H. Parsons. She married the late Ralph C. Meador July 7,1947.
She was a registered nurse and obtained an associate degree in nursing from Western Kentucky University. She worked at Allen County Memorial Hospital and was a coordinator with Scottsville Home Health Agency. She was a member of Scottsville First United Methodist Church and was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
She is survived by one daughter, Ellen M. Simmons of Smiths Station, AL,
One sister, Linda Martin of Lexington, KY, One grandson, Kyle McClary (Denise) of Smiths Station, AL, Three great grandsons; Garrison, Grant, Griffin, seven nieces and two nephews also survive.
In addition to her parents and husband she is preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Parsons, an infant son Michael David and a son in-law Orie Simmons.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, August 15, 2020, at 11:00AM at Crescent Hill Cemetery in Scottsville, KY. Arrangements are under the direction of Harwood & Strode Funeral Home.
