Horse Cave, Ky. – A former Barren County Middle School teacher is behind bars after he purportedly had sex with a minor again.
William Kyle Gardner, 28, was arrested last October after the Barren County Sheriff’s Office determined he had sexual intercourse with a student.
Gardner had sexual intercourse with that same student Tuesday evening, according to the BCSO.
Authorities were advised Gardner was in violation of his bond conditions because he had been in the area of the victim’s house Monday evening. His ankle monitor led police to determine he had stayed at the Horse Cave Motel.
An investigation revealed that Gardner was captured on the motel’s security camera entering and leaving a room with the juvenile.
While at the motel, Gardner purportedly made contact with the female juvenile he had been arrested in connection to last year. He left the motel around 1 a.m. Tuesday.
The juvenile told authorities she and Gardner had sex while at the motel. He had also picked her up in another county three other times.
The BCSO said charges are pending in the other county. The arrest citation did not specify the other county.
The juvenile said she and Gardner began communicating after his release from jail in April. He had discussed the other case with her and told her not to testify against him. He also sent her nude photos during that time.
Gardner faces charges relating to first degree unlawful transaction with a minor (illegal sex act under 16 years old), intimidating a participant in a legal process and prohibited use of an electronic communication system to procure a minor (sex offenses).
